This engine-driven source of DC power mates an efficient, single cylinder & super-quiet, liquid-cooled Kubota marine diesel engine with our PowerMax 150 Amp High Output Alternator. The FDC has a water-to-water heat exchanger, wet exhaust, and a very low profile, making it ideal for tight spaces!
Ferris Diesel Chargers are so efficient at charging batteries because they use a small diesel engine mated to a PowerMax High Output Alternator. The power of the engine is perfectly matched to the power required to run the alternator. There is no wasted energy as there is when running a large boat engine just for battery charging! With our line of FDC Chargers, you will be able to charge batteries quickly, and since they serve as a reliable backup to your existing charging sources you will never be without a reliable source of DC power.
